Lagerback said Tuesday he had recently spoken to Ibrahimovic and that the Inter Milan striker will play for the national team again when qualifying resumes next year.

“He will be back in February if he is good enough, which I`m sure he will be,” Lagerback said.
Speaking at a news conference to announce his squad for the Nov. 15 friendly against the Ivory Coast, Lagerback said Ibrahimovic was left out so he could concentrate on the Champions League with Inter.
Ibrahimovic, Olof Mellberg and Christian Wilhelmsson were sent home by Lagerback two days before a Sept. 6 qualifier against Liechtenstein because they broke curfew by visiting a nightclub in Goteborg.
Ibrahimovic publicly complained that the punishment was too harsh and missed Sweden`s next two qualifiers against Spain and Iceland.
Sweden, which is bidding to qualify for its fifth straight major championship, tops Group F after winning its first four games.
FC Copenhagen striker Marcus Allback and Lyon midfielder Kim Kallstrom were also left out of the match in France against the Ivory Coast as their teams are in the Champions League.
